We provide the Tacoma community with fresh, locally grown farm products while providing area growers with a venue to sell their crops and products.
In addition, we’re committed to educating our community about the importance of local agriculture, sustainable business, and the impact we have on the environment.
The Proctor Farmers’ Market is a 501(c)6 Non-Profit Organization.
Our Mission
- To support and encourage local farmers by providing a venue in our urban community for direct marketing of fresh produce and farm grown products
- To be an educational resource to the public highlighting the importance of local agriculture, sustainable business and our impact on the environment.
- To encourage community building and collaboration within the business and neighborhood community that the market serves.
Committed to community
The Proctor Farmers’ Market board embraces local farmers and our Tacoma community. We acknowledge and respect the struggles of those who have been treated unfairly, and strive to develop programs and initiatives that create equality within our community.
We accept supplemental nutrition assistance programs such as EBT and WIC and participate in SNAP Market Match.
We acknowledge that we are doing business on the traditional lands of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians and begin each board meeting with this land acknowledgment.

Karen makes sure our market runs smoothly while supporting our vendors and sending out weekly email updates to our customers. If you have any questions, Karen is happy to answer them by email or phone and at the Market Information Booth on Saturdays.
